PUBLIC: school managers, hospital managers, social workers, teachers who have to lead projects in their professional environment.

PROGRAM :

From the idea to the delivery

We all have projects in mind but very often they fail because we don’t have any methodology. This course will help you to draw, lead, control and close any project you dream to realize.

It will be divided into 6 phases:

  1. Before project
  2. Initiating
  3. Planning
  4. Executing
  5. Monitoring and controlling
  6. Closing

During all these phases, you will work on tools and techniques to estimate, evaluate, control and close a project.
You will see how to develop knowledge management inside your own professional area.

During the training, you will follow a framework that will lead you to organize a project.

Michel Schaillee – coming from Flanders, he is a graduate in economics and financial sciences, working in adult education field and in project management. Since 2012 is involved in European projects . He teaches numeracy and Project Management. He is also a counsellor in Project Management for some companies in Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Fluent in English, Dutch and  French .

DURATION: 5 days

THE DAILY SCHEDULE WILL RUN FROM 9 TO 17 WITH A LUNCH BREAK

PRESENTATION OF  MONTREUIL BELLAY:

Perched on a hill overlooking the Thouet river tributary of the Loire, the castle of Montreuil Bellay dominates the medieval village. Everything here, encourages calm, relaxation and hiking. You can enjoy canoe trips, walks in the nature, gastronomic breaks in many restaurants, a swimming pool, shady green areas.

The castles of the Loire Valley, tell us the history of France, through the centuries: Saumur, Angers, Chenonceau, Chambord, Ussé …

10 km South: Thouars, its famous market and its 18-hole golf course,

50 km West: the city of Angers known for its castle and tapestries offer a wide range of shops.

20 km North: Saumur, famous for the ‘CADRE NOIR’, the National School Riding, its castle overlooking the Loire. You will have the privilege of a cruise on the Loire aboard a ‘toue’, a particular boat of the region.

20 km East: Loudun and its brand new ‘center parc’, playground, pools for the joy of young and old.

HOW TO INVOLVE ALL THE CLASS OR THE GROUP IN A COMMON ACTIVITY

PUBLIC:

Teachers, trainers, social workers with disadvantaged people (injured, inmates…) developping language skills.

PROGRAM:

During this workshop, you will, with the other participants, write and act in a theater play and at the end of the two weeks act in front of a public.
First phase:

A bit of theory days 1 et 2

  1. What is the structure of a theater play, how drama writers write? The rules of 3/8
  2. Why is it a success to involve our public in a work group?
  3. How we can use it, as an efficient tool, in a learning environment?
  4. What are the advantages of using such a method?

A bit of work days 3 et 4 et 5

  1. Decision to choose the period, story type (comedy, drama, historical story, police play) of our new play. Discovery of decision making tools: mind map, context diagram, metaplan)
  2. Choose the characters, and the action: where it takes place, when, what is the action, what is the trouble, who saves the hero, who are the bad guys ?
  3. Then each of the participants will choose a part of the play and write his/her own part
  4. Every morning, we will meet to read what everyone has put on paper. The facilitator will collect all the chef d’oeuvre and put it in a cohesive hole. 
  5. In the afternoon, you will be free to go where you want to find the inspiration. Some special places will be at your disposal: classrooms, tables at the river side, in a pub, and of course, you could be inspired by the 12th century castle.

Weekend  free

A bit work beyond the rehearsal days 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

  1. Each of the participants will choose a role and learn it.
  2. If you feel to shy to go on the stage, there will be some other role to take :
  3. We’ll need a director,
  4. Someone for the décor,
  5. Another for the costume.
  6. ………

No excuse not to work: there is always a job to do according to your abilities.

A bit of fun: last day

Acting in front of a public. Just enjoy! Specially the final applause and aperitif!

During the two weeks, we’ll organize some visits and events

  1. Visit of a theater,
  2. meeting with social workers working with children, with volunteers’ parents at the theater.
  3. Meeting with two Famous professional actors and with some teachers who already using this method in class.

At the end of the two weeks, we’ll send you a representation of your theater play and it will be filmed and each participant will receive a DVD.

The workshop facilitator:

Françoise Salesse has a PhD in psychology. She has been teaching French as a second language for foreigners, numeracy and literacy for people in real difficulties…but she has always tried to improve her pedagogical methods. That’s how she started to create short stories with her trainees and make them act in a theater play and it works! It can seem amazing, but it even works with mixed groups (adults, children, migrants, people released from prison) because everyone tell a bit of his own story. Françoise has also written two novels (under her alias Marie Salska), she acts in a theater association in her village, she is also a director of a training center.

DURATION: 14 days

ORGANIZATION: this daily schedule will run from 9 AM to 5 PM  with a lunch break, a coffee break in the morning and in the afternoon.

First phase:

A bit of theory

  2. How we can use it, as an efficient tool, in a learning environment?
  3. Why it is a success to involve our public in a work group?
  4. What are the advantages of using such a method?

A bit of working group

Decision to choose the period, story type (comedy, drama, historical story) of our new story. (Discovery of decision making tools: mind map, context diagram, metaplan)

A bit of lonely or by peers work using computer, pen and paper

  1. Then each of the participant will choose a chapter and write his/her own part. Every morning, we will meet to read what everyone has written down. The facilitator will collect the participants writings and put them in a cohesive form. 
  2. In the afternoon, you will be free to go where you want to find your inspiration. Some special places will be at your disposal: classrooms, tables at the river side, in a pub, and of course, you could be inspired by the 12th century castle.

Weekend : free

A bit of fun

At the end of the two weeks, we’ll send the book to BoD edition in Paris and each of you will receive an exemplary of your ”prose.”

Differentiate the moments in the game with the 4 learning stages and how to manage the transfers.

In the evening: discussion how this event has improved teachers’ coordination abilities.

Thursday:

How to structure a game according to the Goal, Action, Merit, Evaluation

Gamification a training or a course

Lead a playful sequence or an educational activity

Friday:

Create one’s own game and adapt a game
